Nuts over Soapnuts - FREE stuff!

Filed under: cloth diapering, great products — themommyincharge @ 7:52 pm

Have you heard of Soap Nuts? I have been using Soap Nuts for a while now and I-love-them. Such a great natural product.

www.thebabymarketplace.com

They work great. They are natural, contain no chemicals (yay!) and are actually extremely economical! About $20 worth of soapnuts will actually do 200 loads of laundry.

So how do they work?

Soap nuts are small berry like fruits that grow in warm, tropical and sultry climates. They are native to India, Nepal and some other South Asian countries and consist of a small yellowish Brown fruit covered by a hard outer covering. It is the former that is mostly used in the various products that are now available in the market. The main ingredient in soap nuts is saponins which make them an excellent cleaning utility that can be used to clean almost everything ranging from clothes to dishes and regular household cleaning.

Washing Clothes

All you have to do is tie together 4 to 6 shells of soap nuts in a thin cloth like a muslin cloth and add it to the washing machine drum. This will take care of 4 to 5 loads of laundry. The advantages of using soap nuts as laundry detergents are:

Fabric is soft after wash and no fabric softeners need be added separately

It leaves the colors intact and fading does not occur after wash

It removes dirt and smell form the clothes leaving a neutral fragrance

Soap nuts are ideal for people with allergies to chemical detergents and synthetic perfumes, children’s clothes and pets. Using them in the laundry can actually decrease eczema and psoriasis.

The Baby Marketplace is pleased to add Soap Nuts to a long list of great products available. Here’s where the FREE stuff comes into play. ALL orders placed at The Baby Marketplace while supplies last will qualify for a FREE trial sample of Soap Nuts.

Your sample package will include a muslin bag and enough Soap Nuts to wash 4-5 loads of laundry! Great product, great deal. Simply write “free soapnuts please” in the comments box at checkout and we’ll do the rest!

Enjoy,

My Organic Planet - (Win Free Stuff)

Filed under: contests, general, great products — themommyincharge @ 9:48 am

Have you “gone organic”? Have you joined the movement? There is sooo much information out there and sooo little time to read it all. It is overwhelming really. Organic clothing, food, skin care products, cleaning products. I would love to fully research every product in an effort to keep myself, my family and our planet healthy - I just sometimes always seem to run out of time

My solution: do what you can when you can. As far as I am concerned every little bit helps.

Here is my “little bit” for today. Organic skin care products. From what I know many of the lotions, cosmetics and deodorants we use daily contain chemicals that are easily absorbed through our skin. Our skin is a living, breathing organ and since everything is absorbed through our skin it should be gentle and non-toxic.

I use Gaia Natural Baby for my DD (that’s dear daughter, or diaper diva, depends of the day).

One of the things that most surprised me about this product is how little is needed to “lather up”. Compared with other brands of products with are less expensive but also contain many chemicals I find the cost isn’t actually greater to use this organic product - you only require a small amount.

I want you to try out the GAIA naturals product too!
