So cute it’s scary…(contest!)
I LOVE Halloween. I am always ready for the event well in advance. I am so enthusiastic about it that in years past, before I had my daughter, I resorted to dressing up the dog in order to take part in the fun.
One would expect that the dog would have been pleased last year when I was too busy with a new baby to dress him up.
I personally think he looks sad and rejected at the fact that I didn’t make the effort to drag out “his” costumes.
Anyhow….Costume Contest
The Mommy in Charge and The Baby Marketplace are giving away one Bellabug Kids Fairy Dress or a Schylling Toys Pirate Costume set. You choose a perfect costume for your little one this Halloween or just for “dressup”. It’s easy - leave a comment about Halloween (your favorite costume, what your kids will be this year, you get the idea) and one lucky commenter will win the costume.
Check out the other Bellabug costumes at The Baby Marketplace. The tutus are not only adorable Halloween costumes, they also make great dressup clothes and/or a really neat outfit to wear for your baby’s professional photos. This is my DD in one of the tutus.
Enjoy!

Love the fairy costume. I guess my favorite of all times from any of the kids was taking my old prom dress and making it a princess costume- she had a much better time than I did in it

I would love to win the fairy costume for my daughter. I am still having a hard time picking out a costume for her (she is only 2 months old). Plus this girl thing is new to me as I have 3 sons. My youngest son is going to be a cowboy riding a bull this year.
September 24th, 2008 at 1:24 am
My fave costume would be a fairy princess costume! I love all things magical!
Thanks for the chance!

The fairy costume is sooo cute! This will be our first year out and my daughter is planning on going as a butterfly.
September 24th, 2008 at 6:35 am
My favorite costumes were last year when my son was stitch and my mom made a lilo costume for my daughter. They were adorable.
September 24th, 2008 at 6:44 am
Don’t know what the rest of the kids are going to be yet but my youngest is going to be Dorothy from the Wizard.

They are both so cute. But we have girls so the fairy costume is the perfect choice. Love that they can play dress up year round, such a girly thing.

My daughter wants to be a pixie this year!
September 24th, 2008 at 9:59 am

the fairy costume is too cute!

Halloween is so much fun! We live where there are so many children and many of them are toddlers. I love to answer the door on Halloween Night to see the adorable children and their costumes. The “Bellabug-Ballerina Tutu” is my favorite. Please enter me in your delightful drawing. I appreciate it! Thanks, Cindi
September 24th, 2008 at 12:14 pm
I don’t have my little one a costume yet but since she is still little I guess she will be a pumpkin. I would love to win the Baby Ballerina Tutu so she doesn’t have to be the pumpkin.
September 24th, 2008 at 5:46 pm
My girls always want variations on the princess/fairy theme!
September 25th, 2008 at 8:12 am
Too cute - I already have one of those adorable puffy pumpkin costumes ready for next halloween with our son. I’ve wanted to dress up a baby in one of those pumpkins for forever! My favorite costume from hallweens past was a princess costume my mom made for me. Thanks for the great giveaway.

My favorite costume was my son’s first halloween. He wore an adorable little bee bunting, and my husband and I wore headbands/hats in the shape of flowers. We can’t get away with being that cute with him anymore!
September 25th, 2008 at 11:44 am
My DS1 will get to be a TRAIN this year. A friend gave us this awesome foam train costume that hangs of the shoulders, and is big, but soft so you can still run around in it. He’s been sleeping with it in his room since he got it for his birthday and there’s still a month to halloween!
September 25th, 2008 at 12:01 pm
My daughter is going to be a witch, and we’re going to use the new BabyLegs “witch” pattern. But she could always dress up twice; we did it last year!

This will be the first year we are going out with the kids (my oldest is 3). Should be fun! Most of my memories are of trying to come up with a costume that would fit over a SNOW SUIT!!
September 25th, 2008 at 12:43 pm
My favorite Halloween costume was when Roo wore a vintage dirndl dress and was Little Red Riding Hood to her daddy’s Big Bad Wolf. This will be the first year Jasper can dress up… little bad wolf?

I *love* Halloween. My friends and I trick-or-treated for the last time when I was a senior in college! We got a lot of raised eyebrows - and a lot of candy! Now I’m the mommy, and my kids are still young enough that I can pilfer their chocolate, unabashed. My son only wants the lollypops, anyway. He is going on 3, and when I asked him what he wanted to be for Halloween there was no hesitation, “a DINOsaaaaauuuuuuur!” Now, I just need something for my beautiful 2 month old baby girl, maybe a fairy dress?
September 25th, 2008 at 1:23 pm
The pirate and the Fairy costumes are so cute. This year my daughter is going as a flower, my 5yr boy is a spider and my two older boys will probably be some variation of starwars characters.
September 25th, 2008 at 2:56 pm
We go all out for Halloween. My fave was when my 31/2 yr old asked to be a front loader and thought his little sister, just walking, would make a good bulldozer! So we made them out of boxes (of course Dad had to help the dozer walk) and they wore hard hats and overalls with yellow shirts. That was fun. Dad and I wore safety vests. Hmm, that pirate costome might need a ship…

We are adopting our foster baby on Oct. 1st!!! His new first name is “Alan” b/c he is tough like a lion yet has a gentle heart. So… this year (he is 2yr) he’ll be a lion in celebration of his new name!
My baby girl (6 months) will be a pumpkin and I will be a cowgirl with “cutest pumpkin award” ribbon on my shirt. We would love to win these for my babes!
September 25th, 2008 at 4:01 pm
My oldest will be the red spiderman and my baby will be buzz lightyear! Thank you so much for the chance to win such a cute prize and I would love the fairy!!
September 25th, 2008 at 4:06 pm
Those TuTus and princess dress are adorable! Our 1st baby is due October 27th and we’re going to paint my belly like a pumpkin and my husband is going to be a farmer! Hopefully I make it to the halloween party this year!
September 25th, 2008 at 9:22 pm
Our little girl (20 months) loves to drape our old purple afghan over her head and run around the house saying “ooooooo”. Everyone pretends to be very frightened and run away from her, which is hilarious unless she runs into a wall. She’ll probably be a ghost this year –if I can find a white afghan!
September 26th, 2008 at 12:20 pm
This year my 12 month old is going to be a lamb. I didn’t want to go overboard with a costume and not have her wear it! My 8 year old is going to be Tim the Tool Man Taylor, from the episode where he gets his head stuck to the table. LOL…quite a combo I’ve got!
Thanks for the great giveaway!

The fairy dress is soooo cute! I’m not sure what my kids are going to be. The older one says she is going to “make her own”, so who knows? We always enjoy Halloween and all it entails!

My kids are going to be a Barbie cheerleader and a Vet
September 27th, 2008 at 10:42 am
For my son’s first halloween he was a lobster. it was the cutest outfit with dangly eyes and big claws. I would love the pirate costume for him this year because he just loves pirate ships and saying “arrr” he’s 2 1/2.
September 27th, 2008 at 1:07 pm
My little one’s going to be a bumblebee
September 27th, 2008 at 3:04 pm
I really love Halloween because I love seeing all the different costumes kids have every year. Now a days they are always so creative. Thanks for the chance.
September 27th, 2008 at 4:02 pm
Halloween is my favorite holiday, love that fairy costume. My youngest is going to be an angel & we are actually using a white tutu as part of the costume. My oldest is supposed to be Vampira but the costume came really small, so hoping it will fit her!
September 27th, 2008 at 4:25 pm
I love HAlloween because you can be whoever you want for one night and noone is going to look at you like you’re crazy.
September 28th, 2008 at 2:56 pm
This is the first year my daughter has not been a fairy. She is Ariel (she’s a red head). However, she loves to play dress up with dance and fairy clothes!
September 28th, 2008 at 11:01 pm

I think the fairy costume is cute. My daughter wants to be a butterfly for the third year in a row.

We are ALL about conserving money this year. Our two youngest daughters are wearing hand me down costumes from the dress up bin (A flower fairy and a ballerina fairy) and my oldest daughter is totally EMO these days, so she pretty much dresses for Halloween every day.
October 1st, 2008 at 8:39 am
Holloween is the greatest! My daughter thinks a pixie elf is her calling. My son hasn’t made a decision yet.
October 1st, 2008 at 2:17 pm

I adore these costumes. My girls are both such princesses (5 and 22 months.) They are going as brightly coloured witches this year, but I must have 15 pairs of wings for dress-up. Do the tutus come with crotch snaps? (Great contest, BTW!)
