And Then Came Along Someone Special
A year ago this February, along came someone special, to us. Our dear sweet nephew, Baby Gage.
He has touched our hearts and opened our eyes in more ways than I can describe. It is because of Gage we are walking in this years Buddy Walk. To honor the little boy that stole our hearts.
The Buddy Walk was developed by the National Down Syndrome Society in 1995 to promote acceptance and awareness of people with Down syndrome.
Over 200 Buddy Walks take place in North America every year. In general, the Buddy Walk has three primary goals:
1. To promote equal opportunities for people with Down syndrome;
2. To raise funds locally and nationally
3. To enhance the position of the Down syndrome community.
So, on behalf of myself Cathy, my husband Chris and our Daughter Mckenna, Gage’s Aunt, Uncle & Cousin we ask you to do one or two things. To do what you can.
1) Give generously! Or give what you can by donating below. Every dollar helps and with it we thank you.
2) At your next opportunity, big or small, DO something or SAY something or BE someone who is Compassionate toward, and gives something of themselves, for a Very Special Person with Down Syndrome.
