Lovebugs and Flutterbys
Valentines Valentines Valentines. Thats all we’ve had on the brain for the last couple weeks. I don’t know what we are going to do in the next few weeks leading up to the actual Big Day.
Do you make Valentines with your toddler to give to family and friends? We are going to this year, its lots of fun!
Amongst all of our crafting, I give my 3 year old FULL CREDIT for coming up with these cute little Valentines. We were doing a different craft with construction paper hearts and she grabbed her scissors and said, “I’ll just cut this heart in half to make some butterfly wings”. Um, okay? So she did and voila, we she practiced her scissoring skills and we made these cute Valentines.
What you need:
- Construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue
What to do:
Cut out the following shapes for a Lovebug:
- 1 Heart (wings)
- 1 Medium Circle (body)
- 1 Small Circle (head)
For a Flutterby cut out:
- 1 Hearts (wings)
- 1 Rectangle (body)
- 1 Small Circle (head)
Cut the heart shape in half to creat wings for your lovebug or flutterby and layout as follows:
Glue together and complete with your Valentine’s messages. Ours were “you make my heart flutter” and “from your Lovebug”.
Enjoy making Valentines with your Lovebug!
