Birds Nest Style Easter Eggs

Filed under: family, general — themommyincharge @ 8:51 pm

We are a flurry (no pun intended for tomorrow’s forecasted SNOW) of Easter Crafts and activities in this house.  Here’ s a fun, and Great Looking Craft we have worked on this week.

What you need:

  • Balloons
  • Yarn
  • Flour and Water

What you do:

  1. Make a paste of flour and water.
  2. Blow up your balloon to an egg shape.
  3. Cut various lengths of yarn.
  4. Cover the ballon in yarn that has been soaked in the “paste”.
  5. Allow to dry and gently push the balloon away form the dried yarn.
  6. Pop the balloon and remove.

Super simple.  A little messy, which is always the best part for my preschooler, and you have a great looking Easter Egg to hang in your window or from a tree.

My three year old believes that these eggs will alert the Easter Bunny to stop at our house when he is hopping down the street!

Enjoy!
