A Valentine Treat

Filed under: family, general, great products — themommyincharge @ 9:03 pm

We’ve been getting ready for Valentines Day for quite some time :P Over a month to be exact. We started by getting our printed valentines in order early in January. We then moved to a flurry of crafts to have everything just right for the big day:

We are finally close enough to the big day to crack out the Valentines Day Treats!

What did we make? Rice Krispie treats (made with cocoa krispies and mini M&M’s mixed in), cutout into heart shapes, placed on sucker sticks and dipped in melted chocolate, followed by red sparkly sugar. Enough said?

Here is the visual. Leave a comment if you have any questions!

If that’s not a sweet enough treat for you try this! Save 25% off all clothes an shoes, regular and sale price until February 14th at The Baby Marketplace. Use Discount Code: Valentine25

Let Me Just Get My Stuff

Filed under: family, general, great products — themommyincharge @ 9:00 pm

“Let me just get my stuff for Mexico” was the response when we opened our shipment of Trunkis yesterday and I presented Ruby to my daughter.

I had told her that they were coming, we watched the youtube video of the kids riding them and I let her choose her favorite color.

She quickly grabbed her favorite stuffy and “packed him” for the trip, the trip which will take place in 4 weeks ;)

Ah well, it may be a long four weeks, it may not. She has taken to riding her new trunki in the back entrance of our house (not on my hardwood!). So it just might be a fun four weeks as she has “go kart races” and packs and unpacks all of her stuffed animals.

Either way, she’s going to look darn cute rolling through the airport on Ruby!

For these cheeks too…

Filed under: family, general, great products — themommyincharge @ 4:05 pm

We battle here all winter long. Ever hear someone say “its a dry cold?” or, “at least its a dry cold?” referring to our long cold winters? Well they are right when it comes to bone chilling temperatures, when its a “dry cold” its not so bad.

What is bad is the dryness that wreaks havoc on us. Dry skin, dry lips, dry eyes. We suffer from all of it. May daughter is super sensitive to it and we spend the winter months lathering whichever lotion is working all over her face everyday, drying to ease the dry cracked cheeks that look like this.

I was working in the warehouse when this one caught my eye and gave me an idea. If it works from those cheeks, it should work for these cheeks. So we gave it a try!

I wasn’t necessarily surprised, but I definately was pleased. Not only does the Magic Stick work wonders on my daughter’s dry chapped face, my hands don’t have get lathered in lotions as well. To top things off, she can apply the magic stick herself at the ripe old age of 3 years, and does so now every morning!
